Calderdale is an ambitious, forward-looking Council with a strong track record of innovation and transformation. As we continue to modernise services, strengthen financial resilience, and deliver on our digital ambitions, we are seeking two dynamic Assistant Directors to play pivotal corporate leadership roles. We have two very exciting opportunities available at senior leadership level – one is a newly created post (Deputy S151 Officer) and the other (Assistant Director – ICT and Digital Transformation) is due to the retirement of the current postholder.
You will be our Deputy S151 Officer, working alongside our Director of Resources and Transformation (S151 Officer) to create a finance team who will take the Council to the next level to strengthen senior financial leadership and deliver actions from the CIPFA Financial Management and Resilience Review (2025) and ensure the Council can deliver financial sustainability and transformation for the future.
Applications will be considered from fully qualified accountants, a member of a recognised CCAB professional accountancy body and able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience for the post.
