Overview

We are looking for a Service Manager to join our senior leadership team in Calderdale’s Adult Services and Wellbeing. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high performing social care teams with inspiring, supportive leadership.
  • Manage social care budgets and take innovative approaches to making the best use of public funds in challenging financial times.
  • Deliver best social care practice while focusing on performance and outcomes for residents.
  • Foster staff development, strengths-based practice, and community-led approaches.
  • Nurture strong partnerships to work collaboratively across the system, keeping residents at the heart of decisions.
  • Promote a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and value-based leadership within the team.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience in leading and developing high-performing social care teams.
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial planning for public services.
  • Strong value base, commitment to staff development, and to community-led approaches.
  • Ability to build and maintain partnerships and work across the system to improve resident outcomes.
  • Willingness to champion diversity and inclusion within the workforce.
