Calderdale is a beautiful metropolitan borough in the heart of the Yorkshire Pennines, situated between Manchester and Leeds. The spectacular natural landscape, vibrant towns, quirky culture, and tremendous architecture make it a great place to live and work. Its ideal location allows for easy access via the motorway or rail into the town centre or the surrounding area.
We are looking to recruit into our Practice Manager role for individuals to lead teams/pods within the Multi Agency Screening team. Practice Managers aim to achieve the best possible positive outcomes for children and young people across the region by modelling, directing and supporting the work of the pod through a collaborative and systemic approach whilst supporting the locality team manager in the overall management of the staff and resources.
Applicants should have an in-depth knowledge of social work with children, young people and families; particularly focused around those children subject to child protection plans, children in need and Court proceedings alongside recent experience of social work supervision including supervision of students.
Applicants must hold a recognised Social Care qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
