Calderdale Adult Learning is on a journey to become an outstanding provider. Learners are always at the centre of everything we do, so this is an excellent opportunity to be part of our growing provision. We are looking for individuals who share the 'outstanding' ethos, are passionate about teaching, and positively influencing learners' lives. We offer a wide range of courses to approximately 4,000 adult learners throughout Calderdale, accredited and community-based learning. Our provision adapts to the needs of our communities. It offers a range of opportunities to learn, grow in confidence, gain the qualifications that support entering employment, career changes, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, improving emotional health and well-being, and gaining skills to help in daily life.
Responsibilities
- Assess learners' starting points, plan and deliver tailored learning to meet individual needs.
- Monitor progress and provide high-quality information, advice, and guidance to support learners in identifying suitable next steps and pathways.
- Act as a strong team player who is flexible, proactive, and ready to embrace new teaching challenges as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification and Level 3 subject specialism.
- A proven track record of teaching, ideally within adult education.
- Embed wider skills in teaching, including British Values, Safeguarding and Prevent, Equality and Diversity.
Additional Requirements
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Applicants exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS before appointment is confirmed.
