The Victoria Theatre is one of Yorkshire’s premier arts venues within Public Services of Calderdale Council, hosting a varied programme from comedy to music and theatre, as well as local Amateur Dramatic Societies and community groups. We are looking to recruit bar staff to work on a casual basis to cover evening, weekend, and occasionally day‑time shifts on a rota basis, as dictated by performances at the theatre.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing exceptional customer service to visitors
- Maintaining high‑quality drinks service
- Ensuring general upkeep and cleanliness of the department
- Playing a key role in safety procedures
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Excellent customer service, sales and communication skills
- Numerate
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Polite and friendly disposition
- Commitment to high standards with the ability to work unsociable hours, sometimes at short notice
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment/bar work is desirable
- Candidates must be able to move between different levels of the venue using stairs
- Post holder must be aged 18 or over
