Overview
Casual Concierge/Caretaker role at Calderdale Council. The offices are based on two sites, one in central Halifax and one on the outskirts of Halifax. Applicants should be able to work all listed shift patterns, or a combination of them.

Responsibilities
- Provide a reception service outside normal office hours and respond to residentsβ requests and enquiries within established parameters.
- Ensure the security of the building and residents by checking the identity of callers, recording admissions and departures, and allowing access only to residents and authorised visitors.
- Carry out regular checks of communal areas and grounds; remove rubbish and debris as required.
- Carry out cleaning and caretaking duties as needed, including cleaning empty flats, washing linen and towels, and removal of bulky refuse.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Applicants to posts exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before appointment.
- Experience or ability to work across two sites and handle reception and basic caretaking duties is desirable.
