Mytholm Meadows Extra Care scheme is reopening after a major refurbishment and we are looking for a kind, caring and compassionate individual to join us.
The aim of an extra care scheme is to support older adults with care needs to live as independently as possible in their own apartments but within a safe and friendly environment. We need you to help us meet people’s care and support needs so that they can live their best life possible.
Don’t worry if you haven’t worked in care before. We’re also interested in people with a naturally caring attitude, and we will provide all the training and support needed.
Our Requirements:
- A caring attitude and a desire to help people to live as independently as possible.
- Can encourage and enable people to remain an active part of their community.
- Able to build effective relationships and communicate to a high standard.
A flexible approach to work rotas is needed as we operate between 7am-10pm, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Rotas are planned weeks in advance, so you are able to plan around your own commitments. Enhancements paid for weekends and Bank holidays.
In return we provide:
- A full induction and on-going training and development relevant to the role.
- A friendly, diverse, dynamic, and supportive team.
- Criminal Disclosure Check, Professional uniform, and any necessary equipment.
- Various routes of progression to other areas within Adult Services and across the Council.
