The Business Support Officer role provides specialist administration support to the Adult Services and Wellbeing Directorate. The priority for this post will be to support the MCA/Dols (Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty) Team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist administration support to the Adult Services and Wellbeing Directorate, with priority given to supporting the MCA/Dols Team.
  • Daily screening of referrals and allocation, respond to enquiries from internal and external customers, and liaise with providers via telephone or email.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings and events, circulate agenda papers, take minutes and ensure follow up actions are progressed.
  • Maintain up to date accurate information on computerised records and systems to produce reports and documents in line with corporate standards.
  • Develop knowledge and skills regarding the various business support sections across the Adults Directorate to enable work in different areas depending on service need and priorities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent keyboard skills and proven minute taking skills.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and work as part of a busy team.
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills.
  • Flexibility to work from home and in the office depending on business need.
