Business Support provides specialist administration support to services across the Council.
The Business Support Assistant will provide a range of administrative support to our key frontline services within the Corporate Business Support Function. including post sorting and scanning administration, reception, and financial administration. You will also be expected to input and maintain up to date accurate information on computerised records and systems to produce reports and documents in line with corporate standards.
There are two positions available, 37 hours per week and 22.2 hours per week.
The successful applicant will be required to work from a fixed council location, based in Halifax Town Centre.
The successful applicant will have knowledge of Microsoft applications to support the services offered. Excellent communication and customer care skills are also essential.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
