Calderdale College is seeking a confident and customer-focused Weekend Commercial Officer to support commercial activity within our Inspire Centre. You will provide a professional front-of-house service for partners, clients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience and smooth operation of weekend bookings, events and facility use.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service to commercial clients and visitors.
- Respond to enquiries in person and by phone, maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
- Support security processes, ensuring only authorised individuals access the building.
- Operate the College phone system and handle income, card transactions and receipts.
- Prepare facilities for use, including equipment set-up and take-down.
- Liaise with cleaning and facilities teams to maintain safe, clean and well-managed spaces.
- Ensure accurate financial recording and contribute to site security.
- Act as a Fire Warden and support emergency procedures.
- Build strong relationships with clients, staff and stakeholders.
- Provide shift cover when required and report feedback or issues promptly.
Qualifications / Skills

- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and stay calm under pressure.
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
