The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
As a key member of the curriculum management structure, you will provide effective leadership and coordination of the 14 β 16 and Foundation Learning Partnership provision, motivating and deploying staff and resources to deliver on a range of targets. The main purpose of this post is to develop sustainable partnerships with key stakeholders and provide a supportive environment to attract, retain and support all learners in achieving success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide leadership and management in the areas of 14 β 16 and Foundation Learning Partnership provision.
- To develop external relationships and partnerships which ensure that 14 β 16 & Foundation Learning Partnership programmes meet the needs of the local schools and communities.
- To lead, target set and monitor the performance of all staff in the area and to lead on self-assessment.
- Increase recruitment numbers year on year by managing the recruitment and progression for 14 β 16 and Foundation Learning Partnership learners.
- To engage with the annual review process, completing high quality reviews for all staff within the curriculum area.
- To work collaboratively to support Curriculum Managers to plan and organise 14 β 16 learning provision.
- To ensure that all 14 β 16 and Foundation Learning Partnership learners have access to appropriate resources to support and inspire learning.
- To promote a positive image of the curriculum areas and College through participation in promotional and partnership activities.
- To manage curriculum development and design of high-quality 14 β 16 and Foundation Learning Partnership provision.
- To ensure Foundation Learning partnerships are delivered within the appropriate Study Programme framework.
- To successfully liaise with partners to ensure the delivery of quality 14 β 16 & Foundation Learning Partnership provision.
- To line manage the 14 β 16 provision & Foundation Learning Partnerships.
- To meet targets for retention, achievement, success, progression and attendance of learners in the curriculum area.
- To keep abreast of local and national developments in 14 β 16 & Foundation Learning curriculum and policy.
- Deputise for line manager as required.
- Manage relevant budgets and ensure that all resources are managed to standards set by the College.
- Contribute to the security and effective supervision of the College, its students and its facilities.
- To undertake other duties commensurate with the grading of the post.
General:
- To actively promote and contribute to the delivery of the College mission, vision and values.
- To contribute to the leadership and management of the College.
Managing People:
- Provide leadership, motivation and support to those staff directly line managed and for those staff within the service areas in accordance with the Collegeβs Human Resources and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
- Deploy and regularly review staff appropriately to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of areas managed.
- Manage the process of selection, probation, induction, training and development of staff in your area of responsibility.
Managing Resources:
- Ensure the development of financial planning, reporting and control procedures, management information and statistical reporting that ensures compliance with legislation, any other relevant Codes of Practice and the requirements of the College.
Holidays: The basic holiday entitlement is 318 hours inclusive of 59.2 statutory hours of which up to 37 hours can be directed by management. The holiday year is from September to August.
