The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The post holder will work as a key member of the Cardio-Respiratory Service, carrying out various diagnostic procedures in different healthcare settings.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Carrying out physiological measurement testing on patients and producing factual reports as an independent practitioner in Cardio-Respiratory procedures within non-invasive and respiratory domains.
  2. Recording and producing factual written or verbal reports for diagnostic cardiac investigations, including:
  • 12 Lead electrocardiograph (ECGs)
  • Application and analysis of ambulatory ECGs
  • Application and analysis of ambulatory blood pressure (BP)
  • Basic Spirometry
  • Full Lung Function Testing
  • Exercise testing
  • Myocardial Perfusion Scanning
  • Angiography
  • Supervising and training students and apprentices in Non-Invasive Cardiology procedures and respiratory techniques.
  • Using judgment to inform medical teams of untoward reports promptly and appropriately.
  • Collaborating daily with colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Non-Invasive, Invasive, and Respiratory services.
  • The post holder should hold a BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology/Respiratory) or Healthcare Science, and applicants in the final year of the program are encouraged to apply.

    The successful candidate will hold ILS certification, be registered with AHCS/RCCP within 3 months of appointment, and demonstrate dedication, reliability, and commitment to supporting the service.
