Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Ltd (CHS), in collaboration with Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, is embarking on a journey to reconfigure the Calderdale and Huddersfield hospital estate and improve patient services, including the construction of 8 new wards and an extended A&E at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to become a key part of the team delivering this large-scale project. You will coordinate, lead, and manage procurement and contract activities, working with internal and external stakeholders. The role also offers many opportunities for personal development.

The Post Holder

• Will lead the CHFT/CHS reconfiguration programme related to procurement and contract projects.
• Will work closely with CHS Estates, Laing O’Rourke, and the Reconfiguration Project Director.
• The post holder will manage highly complex, high-value procurements of both revenue and capital nature, including creating tender and contract documentation.
• Will provide commercial support and advice to budget holders and key stakeholders within the Trust, ensuring best practices and value for money.
• Will develop and implement a 5-year procurement strategy related to reconfiguration and capital procurement and contract activity.
• Will support the operational and strategic objectives of the Procurement Team, the Trust, and CHS.
• Will develop strong relationships with all stakeholders, promoting shared responsibility for procurement issues aligned with Trust objectives.
• Will lead category management initiatives and collaborate across divisions where applicable.
• Will undertake and ensure robust tendering and contracting activities in line with current Trust financial procedures, Public Contract Regulations 2015, and the Procurement Act.
