I'm working with an innovative engineering company developing next-generation industrial technology to accelerate the transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the industrial AC power architecture behind complex process plant systems, shaping the electrical infrastructure that will support rapid commercial growth.
You'll take ownership of:
- Industrial AC power architecture across deployed and future plants
- Power conversion, distribution and Balance of Plant (BoP), optimised for cost, manufacturability and reliability
- Electrical schematics, protection strategies, cable sizing calculations and panel design
- Safety architecture through HAZOP, HAZID and FMEA
- Panel certification under the Machinery Directive and Low Voltage Directive (CE/UKCA)
- Electrical design for reactors, electrolysers and other industrial process systems
You'll have genuine ownership of design standards, safety philosophy and engineering decisions—not simply implementing someone else's designs.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years' industrial electrical design experience within power systems, industrial machinery or process environments
- Experience using EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical
- Exposure to safety instrumented systems and functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, SIL or PL determination
- Industrial power conversion (rectifiers, inverters or VFDs)
- High-power DC systems
- ATEX or hazardous area classification
- Design for manufacture and cost optimisation at scale
Engineers from backgrounds such as the following are encouraged to apply:
- Process plant
- Hydrogen and electrolysis
- Oil & Gas
- Chemical processing
- Heavy industrial equipment
The package includes significant share options as an early team member, private health insurance, unlimited annual leave, and extensive relocation support. This is an on-site position based in London, with flexibility considered for individual circumstances.
