Caldbeck Surgery is looking for a short term Bank Healthcare Assistant (HCA) for imminent cover.
Short term imminent cover required
- Mondays all day
- Tuesdays all day
- Friday mornings
- Additional bank sessions available to cover annual leave and sickness.
What you’ll be doing
- Taking blood samples and carrying out phlebotomy
- Recording blood pressure, pulse, height, weight and other observations
- Supporting NHS health checks and routine monitoring
- ECGs and other clinical measurements within your competency
- Preparing patients for clinical reviews
- Supporting our nursing and wider clinical team
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Working safely and in accordance with practice policies and procedures
We’re looking for someone who is
- An experienced and competent Healthcare Assistant
- Confident undertaking phlebotomy
- Friendly, approachable and patient-centred
- Reliable and well organised
- A good team player who enjoys working collaboratively
- Committed to providing a high standard of patient care
- Able to work independently while recognising when to seek support
Previous GP practice experience would be an advantage.
