We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Croydon for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join their leadership team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SEND professional to make a significant impact on the educational outcomes and wellbeing of pupils with additional needs.
The Role
- Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision.
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant statutory requirements.
- Coordinate effective support and interventions for pupils with SEND.
- Work closely with teaching staff, parents, external agencies, and senior leaders.
- Monitor pupil progress and ensure appropriate support plans are implemented and reviewed.
- Promote inclusive teaching practices across the school.
Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent mandatory SENCO qualification.
- Have previous experience working as a SENCO or within a SEND leadership role.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practices.
