We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Croydon for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join their leadership team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SEND professional to make a significant impact on the educational outcomes and wellbeing of pupils with additional needs.

The Role

  • Lead and manage the school's SEND provision.
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate effective support and interventions for pupils with SEND.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, parents, external agencies, and senior leaders.
  • Monitor pupil progress and ensure appropriate support plans are implemented and reviewed.
  • Promote inclusive teaching practices across the school.

Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent mandatory SENCO qualification.
  • Have previous experience working as a SENCO or within a SEND leadership role.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practice.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Be committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners.
