This role supports essential infrastructure works delivered on the Thames Water network, using modern trenchless and UV lining technologies.

The Role

As UV Team Chargehand / Lining Operative, you will play a key supporting role in the delivery of UV CIPP lining projects, working closely with the Foreman to coordinate daily site activities. Acting as the Foreman’s right-hand person, you will help guide the crew, communicate progress, maintain site standards and ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently. This is a hands‑on, site-based role, with stand‑down days spent at the West Drayton depot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Foreman in coordinating daily site activities
  • Assist in delivering UV CIPP lining works to programme and specification
  • Guide and mentor less experienced operatives on site
  • Help maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety
  • Communicate progress and site issues to the Foreman and management
  • Assist with completion of site paperwork and documentation
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture at all times

  • Background within the water or utilities sector
  • Ability to lead by example and support site teams
  • Strong awareness of health & safety requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
