A joint venture contractor delivering critical infrastructure works within the water sector. They are currently delivering a high-value framework of clean and wastewater schemes across Hampshire, with a strong future pipeline and long-term commitments from the end client. Responsibilities: The Civils Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of civil engineering works across multiple clean and wastewater projects within the Hampshire Water Framework. You will lead site-based teams and supervisors, oversee subcontractor performance, and ensure works are delivered to specification, programme and budget. The role will involve overseeing excavation, pipe laying, chambers, ducting and reinstatement works, as well as interfacing with MEICA disciplines. Close collaboration with the client and project teams is essential, ensuring delivery meets both commercial and operational objectives, while maintaining a strong safety and quality culture. Requirements: You should have a strong civils background within the water, utilities or infrastructure sectors, ideally with experience managing multiple live sites or schemes within a framework environment. A sound understanding of health and safety regulations, temporary works procedures and permit systems is essential. You’ll need excellent leadership and communication skills, along with the ability to manage resources, liaise with stakeholders and report progress accurately. SMSTS, CSCS and a full UK driving licence are required, with additional EUSR or water hygiene certification considered advantageous.
