You will be responsible for the effective running of production lines throughout the site.operating standards.You will apply troubleshooting techniques to maintain the smooth running of the production processes and uphold the highest quality standards.Whilst creating, maintaining, and training the standard operating procedures throughout our teams.
Key areas of Focus
- Ensure machinery and equipment is running correctly and constructively challenge performance of the line.
- Contribute effectively at changeovers to ensure that they happen within the allocated time and that the equipment is ready to operate at the target rate.
- Identify and perform preventative maintenance tasks carrying out basic fault finding and problem solving with the support of the shift engineers.
- To comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and food safety procedures, work instructions and safe systems of work.
- Accurately record all due diligence and other operational data as required.
- Support the Shift Leaders/Manager to ensure that the production plan is met, to service customer requirements.
- With support from the Manufacturing Manager write, maintain, and update standard operating procedures to constantly meet the needs of our business.
- Receive and carry out training as required providing learners with all relevant information to clarify what is expected from them and to ensure they work safety.
- Maintain your own expertise by keeping up to date with new processes, key developments, updates, and changes.
- To take a proactive approach in the identification, communication, and achievement of continuous improvement.
- Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Work as part of the overall team to ensure the site is audit-ready at all times.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential, preferably within the food industry.
- Experience of setting and operating technical machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems of a technical or mechanical nature helping to identify and offer solutions for current and potential problems.
- Uses continuous improvement principles to improve efficiency.
- Be accurate in your daily tasks and duties, paying great attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communications skills with the ability to adapt to differing audiences.
- Competent user of IT systems including Word and Excel.
- Food Safety Level 2 (desirable).
- Food safety, quality and allergen awareness (desirable).
