We are developing new products based on our network to provide solutions for our asset management and asset servicing clients. This role is crucial in shaping and delivering Calastone's product portfolio. As a key member of the Product team, you will contribute to designing and delivering our products. Your responsibilities include conducting market analysis, gathering client feedback, defining and communicating the product roadmap, and prioritising work for the development team in collaboration with technology and the broader product team.
You will define and deliver new features aligned with the Product strategy, working collaboratively with colleagues in Product and Technology teams, understanding their ideas for product design and delivery, and engaging with key clients as needed. You will assess the appetite for new features early on, evaluate their business viability, and ensure they add value to your robust product set. Quality and compliance are vital. You, with support from Operations and the Quality Assurance team, will ensure the highest standards are maintained, especially when introducing new features.
You will coordinate with the Engineering team during the development of new features, ensuring they understand the 'why', 'what', and 'when' of deliverables, fostering mutual trust between teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset management or asset servicing, with a background in business analysis, solution design, or product roles. You will evaluate product/market fit and commercial viability throughout the product lifecycle, collaborating across Sales, Operations, Marketing, Technology, and clients. You may also perform the Product Owner role and detailed business analysis within Calastone's agile delivery process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product discovery and co-creation sessions with clients, gathering feedback on products and roadmaps.
- Plan and prioritize the product feature backlog, working with your Product Director and team.
- Break down initiatives into Epics and user stories for tracking and development.
- Work closely with Lead Engineers to translate product requirements into deliverable increments.
- Keep all product documentation current to reflect features and functionality.
- Collaborate with your Product Director on the commercial viability, budgets, and sales targets.
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure project success.
- Coordinate with the broader Product Management team to ensure a clear end-to-end vision.
- Propose process improvements to streamline delivery and maximize revenue.
- Assist in creating marketing content and Go-To-Market strategies, working with Commercial and Marketing teams.
- Support Sales during client meetings to identify needs and showcase product capabilities.
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Results-oriented leadership with a focus on revenue and cost optimization.
- Experience in Asset Management or funds ecosystem, in roles such as business analysis, solution design, or product management at an asset manager or asset servicer.
- Proven track record of product delivery from ideation to growth.
- Ability to think disruptively and innovate within your domain.
- Experience with Agile development and promoting its adoption.
- Stakeholder management skills with demonstrated influence on business outcomes.
- Ability to follow and improve disciplined product development processes.
- Experience in client/customer-led product development based on insights and testing.
- Strong written communication skills, including requirements documentation and workflow descriptions.
