Our client is a thin prime contractor through government procurement frameworks, working across the UK public sector. Their work spans IT goods and services, software solutions, digital transformation, and business consultancy.
We are looking for a Sales Administrator to join our tendering team as a third person in a role that offers full exposure to the bid lifecycle, owning and managing EOIs, RFIs, and ITTs from receipt through to submission and follow-up, acting as the control point between customer and partner.
Communication will be a combination of email, video calls, telephone and procurement portals. Our systems of CRM (Zoho), Slack (messaging) and Microsoft365 are the other main tools. You will also be responsible, as part of the team, for answering the telephone generally for the company and passing to the right part of the company if not for you. There may also be some reporting requirements from CRM, e.g. monthly returns during holiday cover for other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excellent written and video/phone skills.
- Ability to read and interpret tender documentation accurately; IT knowledge and language is essential.
- Be highly structured, organised and focused – processing many incoming urgent tasks.
- Have a manic attention to detail and a love of getting data 100% right every time.
- Represent our company to a very wide range of public sector customers and private sector partners – you’ll often be the main face of the company in fact – telephone, video and email.
- Teamwork – with an innate ability to work happily under supervision, and to know what to escalate and when to ask for help.
- A love of sales and winning.
- Record everything carefully in a CRM and messaging system.
- Care about sales and be a winner.
- Work as part of the Tendering team, under supervision and direction as needed.
