CALA Homes (West) Ltd is seeking a Surveying Manager to join their Commercial team . Reporting to the Commercial Manager , you will serve as the Surveyor for designated developments within the region, taking the principal role in managing payments and costs.
About You
You will be responsible for producing accurate estimates, budgets, forecasts, and implementing effective cost control measures. Monitoring site performance against original plans, budgets, and financial targets is essential. You will provide regular cost reports and updates, requiring effective communication with teams such as Sales, Land, Construction, and Technical Architects. You should be capable of producing detailed reports and presentations, with excellent attention to detail, being self-motivated and proactive. Additionally, you will own the surveying responsibilities on your developments and support the Commercial team regarding financial status and profitability.
Candidates should have experience in a similar role within the house building industry, with at least an HNC in Building Studies. RICS qualifications or a Degree in Quantity Surveying are advantageous. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and land appraisal software like \’Site stream\’ is required. Familiarity with current standards and Building regulations, along with strong planning and organisational skills, is essential.
