We are expanding our Construction Team and are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will work alongside the development team to ensure the site programme is planned, delivered and effectively monitored on a daily basis.

You will manage all site resources including labour, plant and materials as well as on-site health and safety and client customer service. As a Site Manager, you will also be expected to take ownership of site issues and ensure they are dealt with promptly. You will monitor all site activity against quality standards, productivity targets and deadlines. Additionally, you will ensure that materials are ordered, stored and used in a cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for identifying overspend and highlighting potential savings. It is essential that you are able to maintain control of sub-contractor time through itemising, programming and authorising as appropriate. Communication is key, and you will need to liaise with other teams within Cala to update them on the progress of the project.

Qualifications

  • Ideally, you will have experience of working in the house building industry, and have experience of meeting NHBC standards.
  • It is important that you have a broad understanding of all trades and have a thorough knowledge of the construction process.
  • You will have excellent organisation and communication skills, work well within a team and be computer literate.

Must have a valid:

  • CITB – SMSTS (not an internal version, has to be CITB)
  • First Aid at Work (FAW)
  • Appropriate CSCS Card

Ideally have a valid:

  • Basic Scaffold Theory and Inspection (or CISRS Inspector)
  • Site Environmental Management (CITB SEATS or IEMA)
  • CITB - Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC)

Have experience working to NHBC standards. Held previous position conducting this role for 5 years.
