As a key member of the Regional Board, the Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing function to deliver regional sales and profit targets effectively and efficiently, in line with the Region’s strategic objectives. The role provides strategic leadership across sales, marketing, customer experience and product positioning, acting as a key voice both in the Boardroom and externally to support Cala’s continued growth and success.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead, develop, motivate and inspire a high‑performing Sales and Marketing team with a deep understanding of the Cala customer, local markets and differentiated product.
- Set and manage Sales and Marketing budgets for the Region and individual schemes, monitoring performance against clear objectives, targets and KPIs.
- Evaluate market research and maintain a strong customer care culture, pre‑ and post‑sale, with close oversight of customer service performance and satisfaction ratings.
- Communicate and implement Group marketing strategies and resources across the Region, ensuring each scheme is appropriately positioned within its local market.
- Contribute to product definition and pricing strategies, including site selection, design, layout, unit mix and specification, informed by market insight.
- Collaborate closely with construction teams to create a sales‑friendly on‑site environment and ensure schemes are presented effectively throughout the build process.
- Prepare and present Board papers and Proposal to Purchase reports for senior management meetings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (including GDPR and Consumer Protection legislation) and adherence to Company policies.
- Promote and role‑model Cala’s culture and core values: Passion, Quality, Respect and Delivery.
- Contribute to the wider corporate success of Cala and the sustainable growth of the Region, acting as a trusted and influential leader internally and externally.
About You
Essential:
- Knowledge & Experience: Highly experienced Sales and Marketing professional with strong sector knowledge and a demonstrable track record of improving sales performance.
- Experience of coaching, developing and leading high‑performing teams, with the ability to delegate effectively without micro‑management.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills and close attention to detail.
