There may be an element of travel required to visit (local) regional offices to support users and resolve issues, therefore, a driving licence is an essential requirement.
We are looking for a Workplace Technology Engineer to support, maintain and incrementally enhance our Microsoft 365 digital workplace. This role sits at the administration‑led end of the spectrum, with a strong focus on secure configuration, operational reliability, and user enablement, complemented by light Power Platform development and early adoption of Microsoft Copilot capabilities. This is not a pure development role. It is ideal for someone who enjoys being the hands‑on owner of the M365 environment, has a good understanding of Power Apps and automation, and is keen to grow their skills in Copilot and AI‑assisted workplace tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft 365 administration (core focus)
- Administer and support the Microsoft 365 tenant, including:
- Exchange Online
- Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint Online
- OneDrive for Business
- Endpoint and Intune management
- Configure and maintain collaboration, sharing, retention and security settings in line with governance standards
- Manage user access, licensing, group configuration and role assignments
- Monitor service health, handle incidents, and coordinate vendor escalation where required
- Plan and implement configuration changes arising from Microsoft roadmap updates
- Power Platform – light build & support
- Support and maintain existing Power Apps and Power Automate flows
- Build simple to moderately complex Power Apps (typically forms, approvals, and workflow‑driven apps)
- Assist with Dataverse or SharePoint‑based data models (not complex data engineering)
- Apply basic Power Platform governance controls (environments, permissions, DLP policies)
- Work with business teams to translate simple requirements into low‑code solutions
- Assist with Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, including permissions and access hygiene
- Support early use cases for Copilot Studio / Copilot Agents under guidance
- Help create guidance, controls and documentation to support safe and effective Copilot usage
- Act as a technical point of contact for questions relating to Copilot in the digital workplace
- User enablement & continuous improvement
- Provide 2nd/3rd‑line support for M365 workplace tools
- Collaborate with service desk and business teams to resolve recurring issues
- Produce clear technical documentation and user guidance
- Contribute ideas to improve productivity, standardisation and user experience across M365
About You
Required experience & skills:
- Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365 in a production environment
- Practical knowledge of Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Entra ID
- Experience building or supporting Power Apps and Power Automate solutions
- Understanding of basic Power Platform governance concepts
- Comfortable working in an operational, business‑facing role
- Clear communication skills and a structured, methodical working style
Desirable (not mandatory):
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot and/or Copilot Studio
- Familiarity with Dataverse
- Experience working in a hybrid Microsoft environment (cloud + on‑prem)
- Awareness of information security, data protection and access control principles
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS‑900, PL‑900, or similar)
