CALA Homes (East) Ltd are looking to recruit a Marketing Coordinator for a fixed‑term maternity cover. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing marketing strategies to generate the volume and quality of leads needed to deliver sales and brand awareness in an often challenging and dynamic market.
You will copywrite and create marketing and PR materials using existing templates, update the Cala website and property portals, brief and proofread marketing materials, and brief photography for your region’s developments. You will also provide administrative support and attend marketing planning meetings and liaise with marketing agencies on marketing campaigns.
Following the provided training, you will ensure your own consistency and compliance with relevant legislation, professional standards, and Cala policies. These include:
- General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) helping to ensure that our customer’s data is always treated with respect.
- The Consumer Protection Act and National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency guidelines, promoting our products and services in a fair and compliant manner.
- The New Homes Quality Code, ensuring our customers are aware of their rights throughout the purchase process and warranty period.
- Cala Group brand guidelines, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Development Marketing
- Supporting sales rate by executing effective development marketing of the required standards for brand consistency nationally.
- Monitoring data including targeted and achieved sales rates, web traffic and enquiry levels and database marketing effectiveness reporting to help identify opportunities to review/adjust marketing messaging and media spend proactively.
- Collaborating with Sales & Marketing Director, Sales Managers and on-site Sales Team to adjust messaging at development and plot level.
- Briefing and arranging approval of Computer-Generated Images of your developments.
- Briefing and arranging photography of your developments.
- Working with the commercial team to produce customer-facing specifications to communicate the features of our homes.
- Briefing and proofreading digital development brochures to set templates.
- Creating and deploying database marketing (email and SMS).
- Creating and deploying simple videos and advertisements using established templates on the Cala brand hub.
- Complying with the Consumer Protection Act and National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency and Cala guidelines.
- Copywriting and updating your developments’ online listings.
- Applying SEO best practice to all development pages.
- Ensuring prompt cancellation of all media activity at the end of the site sales period.
- Helping to achieve the above duties within Cala KPIs around cost per lead and cost per reservation.
- Working with the PR agency and Social Media team to maximise online communications opportunities.
- Point of Sale Set-Up and Maintenance
- Using the standard designs, specifying sales areas with the technical and commercial team.
- Briefing landscapers to create gardens for sales areas and show homes.
- Creating detailed briefings for interior designers to produce show homes.
- Working with tiling and kitchen manufacturers to select options for show homes.
- Arranging for presentation materials showing customer options/upgrades.
- Working with construction, sales, commercial teams, signage and marketing suite subcontractors.
- Regularly visiting sites within your region to review the presentation of all aspects of the sales environment.
- Brand Awareness and Reputation Management
- Communicating your regional Community Pledge activities to home buyers, land vendors, and community stakeholders.
- Collaborating on Cala-wide Marcomms projects and asset creation.
- Acting as a brand ambassador within your region.
About You
- Experience in the new homes industry in a sales or marketing role is desirable.
- Educated to degree level in Marketing or another relevant business studies field.
- Advanced knowledge and competency with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.
- Able to draft professional communications.
- Driving licence.
- Knowledge of a CMS system such as Umbraco.
- Experience working with Salesforce.
- Experience working with an email marketing platform.
- Experience working with an SEO platform.
