An established and highly successful MEP design consultancy is seeking to appoint a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join the team in Derry/Londonderry.
This well-established consultancy delivers full mechanical and electrical building services design across a broad portfolio of projects including: residential, commercial, hotels and retail. Joining this team, you will gain exposure to all stages of the design process and play a key role in delivering innovative and practical building services solutions. The company is open to engineers at varying levels of experience, with responsibilities tailored accordingly. More experienced candidates will have the opportunity to lead projects, mentor junior engineers and take ownership of client relationships. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, contractors and design teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design and specification of mechanical building services systems
- Preparation of technical drawings, calculations and reports
- Working collaboratively with architects, structural engineers and wider design teams
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
- Attending client meetings and site visits as required
- Liaising with contractors and construction teams during project delivery
- Using and developing skills in 3D design and BIM software packages
- Degree qualified (or working towards qualification) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Experience within building services design consultancy would be advantageous
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enthusiastic, motivated and keen to develop professionally
- Comfortable learning and working with 3D design software/BIM packages
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Confident attending site visits and engaging with construction professionals
- Willingness to travel occasionally throughout Northern Ireland and the UK when required
