My client, a successful manufacturing business is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for the opportunity to join a growing company who values and rewards employee contribution. With a strong Mechanical/Electrical background you will be capable of resolving planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to drive efficiency and minimise downtime. This role has no shifts.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and unplanned maintenance work and respond to equipment faults;
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and machinery and arrange procurement of fixtures, fittings and components as required;
- Conduct quality inspections on jobs;
- Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
- Monitor and control maintenance costs;
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
- Work closely with Senior Management to improve health and safety policies and procedures;
- Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous flow of production and operations;
Qualifications
- A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Time served in either discipline;
- A minimum of 3 years hands on experience as a Maintenance Engineer working with either Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatics machinery;
- Able to read electrical drawings;
- Knowledge of CNC, PC and PLC controlled systems;
- Capable of working on own initiative and unsupervised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks;
- Excellent team player who is flexible to work additional hours to meet the needs of the business.
