Cala Consulting is recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of a successful independent I.T, Telecoms & Connectivity providers in Northern Ireland.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be joining a forward-thinking team who are focused on their customers. In this role you will help drive the company sales forward with a strong focus on acquiring new clients across Northern Ireland, GB and Ireland. Selling Cloud and on-premise voice solutions, Mobile, business-grade connectivity, IT services (WiFi networks, LAN and SD-WAN), this is a key role for a proactive and results-driven professional. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, negotiating effectively, and closing deals. Working in a fast-paced environment this role is focused on growing the market share through consultative selling and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate leads and create new business opportunities through targeted outreach
- Consistently close deals to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs and revenue targets
- Produce regular reports on sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and performance metrics
- Directly sell a range of products and verticals as agreed
- Negotiate commercial terms and multi-year agreements with customers
- Manage and grow the customer accounts
- Represent the company at events, industry trade shows and exhibitions, building brand visibility and showcasing product offerings
- Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and customer needs
- Continuously expand your network and base of prospective clients
- Manage your time effectively
- Use social media to your advantage
- Work to agreed product, market, and business rules
- Work closely with the Sales Operations department to get sales across the line and interface with multiple stakeholders (pre-sales, finance, service delivery)
Essential Skills and Experience
- Ideally 3 years’ experience in sales or business development within a growth sector. IT beneficial but it isn’t limited to IT or Telecoms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with proven experience of customer centric approach
- A strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
- Ability to generate leads from a standing start to a successful outcome
- Proven ability to operate flexibly in a complex and dynamic working environment
- Exceptional customer focus, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams including product, service delivery, and pre-sales functions
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with commercial awareness and business acumen
The salary for the role will include basic + excellent commission package.
