Ventilation Engineer Cala Consulting are recruiting for an enthusiastic Ventilation Engineer to join the installations division of a growing, established ventilation business.

This field-based role will cover Northern Ireland, with most work located across Down, Armagh, Tyrone and Antrim, and offers a competitive salary, monthly bonus, pension and opportunities to progress.

The Role The Ventilation Engineer will work across all aspects of ventilation installation, from managing stock and preparing materials through to erecting ductwork, installing equipment and commissioning completed systems.

The role will involve working in customers' homes and on sites to deliver reliable solutions that improve indoor air quality and the condition of residential properties.

This is a practical and physically demanding role for someone who understands mechanical installations, works safely and accurately, and is comfortable travelling between jobs.

You will be trusted to work independently, use your initiative and complete each installation and its supporting paperwork to a high standard.

Tools and Personal Protective Equipment will be provided, with a company van available following successful completion of probation and support to work towards a NICEIC ventilation qualification.

Key Responsibilities Install ducted ventilation systems and associated equipment safely, accurately and in accordance with technical instructions and company standards.

Erect, route and secure ductwork, vents, fans and related components across domestic and other customer premises.

Test and commission completed ventilation systems, confirming that they operate effectively and meet the required specification.

Prepare for each job by checking plans, stock, tools and materials, and manage equipment responsibly throughout the installation process.

Complete job sheets, installation records, commissioning information and other required paperwork accurately and on time.

Identify and resolve practical installation issues on site, escalating technical concerns when additional support is required.

Communicate professionally with customers, explain the work being undertaken and maintain a respectful and tidy working environment.

Follow all health and safety requirements, protect customer property and work closely with colleagues to deliver a reliable and efficient service.

Essential Skills and Experience Practical experience of mechanical installations, ductwork, building services, electrical installation or another closely related technical trade such as maintenence.

A sound understanding of mechanical installation principles and different types of ducted ventilation systems.

Good oral and written communication skills, with the confidence to deal professionally with customers and colleagues.

The ability to complete paperwork online including, job records and commissioning documentation accurately and within required timescales.

Reliability, strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to completing work to a high standard.

Ability to work independently, organise a daily workload and use initiative when responding to issues on site.

Ability to remain effective under pressure and adapt to changing job requirements, customer needs and site conditions.

A full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland, with most work concentrated across Down, Armagh, Tyrone and Antrim.

Desirable Direct experience installing, servicing or commissioning domestic ventilation systems.

Experience working in an electrical capacity or within an electrical installation environment.

Knowledge of indoor air quality, condensation control and residential ventilation solutions.

Experience working in customers' homes or occupied properties while maintaining a professional, respectful and tidy approach.
