Cala Consulting are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for their award-winning client. The company deliver bespoke projects for a wide range of clients throughout the UK and Ireland; from blue chip big names to smaller independent companies.
Purpose of job: The role will entail supporting the QS department in a range of activities as the company continue to provide a high standard service for our blue chip and independent clients. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of small works, major refurbishment and new-build contracts with our client portfolio working throughout the UK & ROI, primarily within the Retail and Hospitality and Heritage Sectors.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Setting of project budgets and allowances
- Valuations and agreement of variations
- Preparation of CVRs and projected profitability reports
- Identification of labour, material requirements, sourcing and obtaining quotations
- Liaising with our purchasing department
- Preparation and agreement of final accounts expediently after works completion
- Supervising and training junior members of staff if required
