Cala Consulting are recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer for their Belfast based client. The company is an independent engineering firm that provides consulting services throughout the UK and Ireland. Having grown considerably, they are keen to expand further by retaining their proud record of developing young talent.

This company is a full-service MEP design consultancy that works on a wide range of projects throughout the UK and Ireland including residential, commercial, hotels and retail. This is an amazing opportunity for a Graduate to join a well-established, highly successful consultancy practice with a strong pipeline of work. You will get the opportunity to develop your existing skills, shadow Senior Mechanical Design Engineers, and join a company that is committed to supporting your ongoing development.

The role & skills required:

  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for assisting the engineering team with a range of duties.
  • The company is keen to attract design engineers with integrity, enthusiasm, and a passion to learn about building services engineering.
  • Comfortable with learning to use 3D computer drawing packages.
  • Great teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willing to participate and enhance your collaboration skills by working with other construction professionals (Architects, Structural Engineers, Interior Designers etc.).
  • Confident to attend building sites to liaise with the construction team.
  • Intermittent requirements to travel to attend sites throughout NI & UK.
