This is an excellent opportunity to join a scaling SME based in Belfast. The Operations & Delivery Manager will work in a senior, hands-on operational role with responsibility for post-sales delivery, operational performance and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, processes are efficient and the business operates with control and consistency. This is not an administrative position and not a passive operations role. The Operations & Delivery Manager will be accountable for outcomes, performance and delivery. The company are an energy consultancy and delivery business supporting critical infrastructure clients across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Own post-sale operational delivery from handover through to project completion
- Coordinate projects, resources and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Manage and support the performance of a small internal team
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including quote loading and job/order updates
- Ensure effective sales-to-operations handover and delivery discipline
- Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining strong working relationships
- Lead operational process improvement initiatives, including Lean improvements
- Oversee customer portals and operational administration
- Produce and maintain weekly operational performance reports and scorecards
- Support cash flow, WIP and pipeline control through strong operational discipline
Skills & Experience required
- Proven experience in an Operations, Delivery or Senior Project Manager role
- Strong background in SME environments
- Experience within electrical contracting, FM or construction sectors preferred
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cashflow
- Confident managing people, priorities and competing deadlines
- Highly competent using Microsoft 365 and CRM systems
- Comfortable working with data, KPIs and weekly performance reporting
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach
