We’re Cakesmiths, one of the UK’s leading independent bakeries, selling award-winning wholesale cakes to coffee shops, cafes, farm shops and delis. We’re on a mission to be the most trusted cake partner for coffee shops across the country, and our cakes have become the envy of Instagram feeds across the UK. As a business, we’ve gone through massive growth over the past years, with our photography and presence at industry events playing a big role in that success.

This role sits right at the heart of how people experience our brand. From mouthwatering cake photography to how we show up at trade shows and events, what you create helps customers fall in love with Cakesmiths before they’ve even taken a bite. As our Photography and Events Executive, you’ll be responsible for Cakesmiths' beautiful in-house product photography, as well as managing our presence at UK trade shows and customer events. We’re looking for someone curious, proactive, and naturally organized, who enjoys trying new ideas, keeps cool when things get busy, and takes real pride in producing beautiful, on‑brand work that makes people take notice.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Product Photography: Deliver high-quality product photography to support regular product launches. Plan and run photo shoots, ensuring assets are delivered on time and to brief. This will include ordering in products, booking our in‑house photography spaces, and finding a colleague to participate in the shoots. Art direct shoots, including styling, composition, and all the small details that make a big difference. Edit, retouch, colour‑correct, resize, and format imagery using Adobe Creative Suite for use across web, social, print, and advertising.
  • Design & Creative Production: Design and artwork a range of marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite, including brochures, product cards, flyers, adverts, and other campaign assets. Support seasonal and campaign activity with creative designs, keeping everything on‑brand. Contribute ideas and creative thinking to improve the look and feel of marketing materials and events. Experience in videography and editing is a plus!
  • Event Management: Manage UK‑based trade shows and events end‑to‑end, including timelines, logistics, suppliers, exhibitor portals, and internal stakeholders. Coordinate internal attendees, manage event briefings, and keep an eye on budget. Run post‑event wash‑ups and share learnings so each event is better than the last.

This is a dynamic, creative, and collaborative role that combines hands‑on creative delivery with strong planning, organisation, and ownership. If you’re someone who enjoys working at pace, switching between studio‑based photography, creative design, and seasonal event planning, and seeing projects through from concept to delivery, then this is for you!

You’ll get:

  • Competitive salary + annual bonus
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Access to relevant industry events and a chance to travel
  • A role that will define your CV
  • And of course… Plenty of cake!
