Location: Sheffield, UK
Working Days: Monday–Friday (5 days/week)
Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (30 mins unpaid break)
Contract Type: 3‑month temporary contract (possible transition to permanent role based on performance)
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bread production (mixing dough, dividing, shaping, rolling, proofing, baking)
- Work alongside senior bakers to ensure dough quality and product consistency
- Help prepare fillings such as taro, custard, pumpkin, etc.
- Basic cleaning duties: cleaning work tables, trays, equipment, sweeping and mopping floors
Requirements
- Previous bakery or pastry experience preferred (Japanese/Asian bread experience is a plus)
- Able to handle physical work (dough lifting, kneading, repetitive handwork)
- Willing to learn, follow SOPs and maintain hygiene standards
- Good teamwork and communication
- Reliable and able to work early mornings
Salary & Employment Terms
- Paid hourly – monthly payment
- First 3 months are a temporary/trial contract
- No additional benefits during the trial period
- After 3 months, performance will be reviewed → possibility of permanent contract & visa sponsorship (Skilled Worker Visa for strong candidates)
