With over 200 stores nationwide, we pride ourselves on creating stunning fresh‑cream cakes for every occasion — all made fresh in‑store by our talented decorators. Our new Kingston store is opening soon, and we’re looking for passionate Cake Decorators to join our growing team.
The Role
As a Cake Decorator, you’ll play a key part in bringing our cakes to life — decorating, finishing, and personalising each one to the high standards that make Cake Box loved across the UK. This is a hands‑on role in a busy, fast‑paced environment. You’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative team where precision, consistency and creativity come together to delight our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Decorate and finish fresh‑cream and egg‑free cakes to brand standards.
- Fill sponge layers with cream and spreads, preparing them for decoration.
- Write personalised messages on customer‑order cakes with skill and accuracy.
- Create attractive display cakes and slices for the shop fridges.
- Maintain quality, presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support team members with day‑to‑day kitchen and cleaning routines.
- Work with the front‑of‑house team to ensure displays are full and visually appealing.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in cake decorating or bakery/kitchen work.
- Confident with piping, writing and finishing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and steady hands.
- Team player with a positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
- Flexible to work weekends and varied shifts.
- Awareness of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Qualification in cake decorating, baking or patisserie (not essential).
- Experience in a high‑volume or chain bakery environment.
- Ability to train or support new team members.
