This is a great opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in design within a supportive ecommerce agency environment. This role is perfect for someone in the early stages of their design career, whether you’ve recently graduated with a relevant degree or already have around a year of industry experience under your belt. You’ll work closely with our design team across a variety of ecommerce brands, supporting day-to-day creative output including paid social ads, email campaigns, internal marketing content, website amends and digital design tasks. No two days are the same, and you’ll get exposure to a wide range of projects, clients and creative disciplines within ecommerce. We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely passionate about design, excited to learn, open to feedback and motivated to grow. This is a role with lots of support, training and development opportunities, giving you the chance to build confidence and progress within a fast-moving agency environment.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the wider design team with day-to-day client tasks and amends
- Creating paid social and digital ad creative
- Designing email campaigns and CRM content
- Producing internal creative content for Cake’s social channels and marketing
- Assisting with ecommerce website design tasks
- Learning from senior members of the team through feedback and collaboration
- Staying up to date with design trends, tools and best practices
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design or a similar creative subject, or around 1+ years industry experience
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
- Basic understanding of Figma and designing for digital platforms
- A strong eye for layout, typography and visual design
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills across ecommerce and digital design
- Good communication skills and openness to feedback
- Ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple tasks
- Interest in ecommerce, digital marketing and social content
- A portfolio that shows creativity, potential and attention to detail
- Experience working in UX & UI or understanding of ecommerce platforms
- Animation or motion graphics skills
- Interest in brand strategy and how it connects to digital design
