This vacancy would be a great opportunity to start a career in electrical, control and instrumentation (EC&I) design, and could in turn be the first step into a career in design engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Produce design drawings in compliance with the relevant regulations
β’ Assist with the generation of design documentation and specifications
β’ Provide solutions to specific design problems
β’ Assist senior draughtsperson to resolve technical queries
β’ Perform the responsibilities of management appointments relevant to post
Aptitudes and experience (preferred but not essential as training will be given):
β’ HNC in engineering or equivalent qualification plus experience in the draughting/design field
β’ Trade background in electrical or control & instrumentation disciplines desirable
β’ Membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous
β’ Knowledge of the design process, drawing process and drawing standards
β’ Experience with recent versions of AutoDesk products, AutoCad or AutoCad LT for the production of drawings
β’ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing
β’ Technical experience gained within an engineering environment and an awareness of project management
β’ A sound understanding of safety requirements
β’ Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
