ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR (BAND 2)
(Salary: £25,694 - £27,900)
An exciting vacancy has arisen for an Activities Coordinator, based at Bayview House, Thurso. As an Activities Coordinator you will be a valuable part of the team, creating a stimulating environment through the provision of meaningful activities for our residents.
Part of the role will be spent getting to know our residents and their families, creating tailored activities, with support and experiences for residents with a view to maximising individual wellbeing, independence and access to social stimulation. This information will then be used to create individualised care plans for residents.
It is also important to ensure that residents feel part of their local community and are supported to access activities available to them.
Applicants should have experience of working with people within a care setting and show a keen interest in developing, organising and facilitating a range of activities, tailored to individual needs and wishes. You should also have the ability to undertake SVQ 2 and any relevant training to enable registration with the SSSC, or be willing to achieve this within a 5-year period.
This is a full-time permanent post of 37 hours per week, to be worked in accordance with service requirements.
