An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Delivery Manager to oversee the safe operation and delivery of business plan activities across the FCA Programme. Responsible for operational performance, programme delivery and team leadership, you will ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and in line with strategic objectives, while driving continuous improvement across the programme.
NRS Dounreay is delivering one of the UK's most complex and nationally significant nuclear decommissioning programmes, requiring strong operational leadership to safely deliver key site objectives. The FCA Programme is central to this mission, ensuring critical activities are planned, managed and executed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and performance.
As Operations Delivery Manager, you will lead the delivery of operational commitments across the FCA Programme, driving performance against cost, schedule and quality objectives. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence, managing risks and ensuring successful programme delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Execute the FCA 5 Year plan, optimising plans to respond to changes when necessary.
- Improve physical delivery performance across the programme by monitoring overall FCA operational performance, identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Identify, implement, and maintain work programmes, taking into account analysis of resource dependencies and constraints, scope, risks, and assumptions.
- Efficiently manage work packages within the bounds of the safety case.
- Act as the senior escalation point for FCA operational issues.
- Assess the impact of identified problems and incidents and develop and implement the necessary mitigation actions in conjunction with the Programme Integrator.
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent qualification plus experience.
- Significant leadership and operational management experience within a complex, highly regulated, industrial, engineering or nuclear environment.
- Strong planning, project delivery and performance management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to change.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with proven experience influencing and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and the development of people and teams.
