Job Description
Within La Caisse’s Real Estate team in London, you will spearhead the strategic direction and performance of a C$11bn pan-European institutional real estate portfolio across office, residential, and industrial sectors across Europe. In this executive role, you will lead a high-performing team of professionals, shape asset strategies, value creation, and oversee operations and dispositions. You will serve as the primary decision-maker for investment performance, ensuring alignment with CDPQ’s long-term objectives while cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What you will do

Author, evolve and oversee the execution of the strategic vision for each asset, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives and market dynamics;

Lead and mentor a team of analysts and directors, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous development;

Supervise performance of investment and operating partners, internal committees, and third-party advisors to advance asset-level and portfolio-wide initiatives;
-
Lead portfolio management operations, including valuations, capital planning, and hold/sell analyses, ensuring rigorous governance and risk management;
-
Partner with Real Estate transactions team to evaluate and support acquisitions and dispositions, contributing to portfolio growth and optimization;

Foster a strong strategic and return driven investor mindset within the asset management team by leveraging past experiences and putting forth a clear vision for value creation;

Build and compile market intelligence through third-party data providers and communication with local brokers and partners;
-
Steer and support capital markets activities including refinancing, loan modification and disposition activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;

Oversee tracking of various ongoing capital projects in coordination with operating partner, internal development and ESG teams;

Champion innovation and market intelligence by leveraging data, technology, and broker insights to inform strategic decisions;

Ensure that the firm\’s assets are well positioned in this evolving market, responding proactively to change.

What you bring

A minimum of fifteen (15) years of real estate experience, including a minimum of ten (10) years in asset management leadership roles;

Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration, or real estate, a graduate degree in a relevant discipline is an asset;

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of asset management analysts and directors of varying levels;
-
Proven ability to add value to complex, multi-asset portfolios and deliver superior investment outcomes;
-
Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and operational oversight capabilities;
-
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise messages and interact effectively with senior management;

Mastery of English, both spoken and written, and additional knowledge of French, German, or Spanish being an asset;

Proficiency in market-leading technologies;
-
Willingness to travel internationally.
