Job Description
Within the Taxation team, the successful candidate will support the investment teams in Europe, including the fixed income and private equity teams, in the analysis of investment transactions, by identifying and assessing tax risks to develop effective strategies that align with best practices and applicable standards. They will work closely with the Taxation teams in Paris and Montréal, contribute to the development of tax practices, and promote collaboration and teamwork.
What you will do
- Contract, supervise and coordinate the work of external tax consultants, including in relation to tax due diligence and structuring of new investments.
- Represent the taxation sector with various stakeholders involved in investments (Legal Affairs, managers and operations).
- Identify tax planning opportunities and related risks, as well as opportunities for tax savings by optimizing structures.
- Coordinate the preparation of tax returns with our external tax consultants and other team members.
- Manage tax audits and establish and maintain relationships with tax authorities in the region.
- Analyse and monitor international tax developments, emerging issues, trends and regulatory developments, and evaluate potential impacts on La Caisse’s activities to implement the changes necessary for compliance with the new rules.

What you bring
- CPA designation, law degree or equivalent education
- Master’s degree in taxation or equivalent education
- At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in taxation in the region
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, international tax and transfer pricing
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
