About Us: The Cairngorms National Park is an incredible place to live and work. The Role: The role provides an excellent opportunity for hands on involvement in the full range of financial processes and reporting carried out within the organisation. You will manage financial support services to all funded projects, and help provide an excellent financial management and accounting service to the Park Authority. This includes the management of key finance systems, such as: creditor payments, debtor management, nominal ledger, budgeting, cash flow management, and the development and maintenance of financial regulations and internal controls.

We are seeking applicants who are either fully qualified (accountant/CCAB professional accountancy qualification), or part qualified with relevant experience. You will also have demonstrable aptitude to deliver payroll and pensions services, and to provide line management of staff.

CNPA Benefits: 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days with service, plus Public Holidays, Professional development, Flexible working, Cycle to work scheme, Use of pool cars, Civil service pension scheme.

About You: To be considered as our Finance Manager, you’ll need:

  • Fully qualified accountant / CCAB professional accountancy qualification or part-qualified with relevant experience
  • Demonstrable aptitude and skills to deliver payroll and pensions administration services
  • Aptitude and skills to provide line management of a team of staff
  • Excellent numerical skills and substantial, proven experience of using excel spreadsheets
  • Demonstrable capacity to analyse information and present results clearly
  • Experience of handling confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentational
  • IT skills – competent user of the standard Microsoft suite of products
  • Permission to work in the UK
