The Marketing and Events Assistant supports the delivery of marketing activities and events, helping to promote the Resort, engage visitors and enhance the overall guest experience. This is an entry-level role designed to provide hands-on experience across marketing and events within a busy visitor attraction environment.
Pay Rate: Β£13.25 per hour. This is a part-time seasonal role with potential for developing into a full-time permanent position.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of on-site events, promotions and seasonal activities.
- Support the delivery of marketing campaigns across digital, print and on-site channels.
- Assist with creating basic content for social media, website updates and internal communications.
- Help prepare marketing materials such as posters, signage and promotional assets.
- Support event setup, delivery and breakdown, working alongside colleagues and external suppliers.
- Act as a friendly front-of-house presence at events, welcoming visitors and providing accurate information.
- Assist with gathering visitor feedback and basic performance information following events or campaigns.
- Support with maintaining organised records of marketing materials, images and event documentation.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support marketing and event activities.
- Follow brand guidelines and marketing procedures as directed.
- Observe and comply with all relevant Health & Safety requirements, risk assessments and company policies.
- Identify personal development needs and participate in training opportunities.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as may, from time to time, be required.
- Be polite, approachable and professional with all guests, partners and colleagues.
- Work positively as part of a team, supporting colleagues when required.
- Attend team meetings, briefings and training sessions.
- Participate in annual performance management and development processes such as Performance and Development (PAD) Reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and company policies.
- Maintaining continued professional development and willingness to learn new skills.
This role would suit someone at the beginning of their career who has a strong interest in marketing and events, ideally within tourism, hospitality or visitor attractions. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and keen to learn, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to work as part of a team.
The role will require a degree of flexible working to meet business needs, including a 7-day operation and occasional events out with normal operating hours. An interest in marketing, events or communications (formal experience not essential). Experience in a customer-facing role is desirable. Basic IT skills, including use of MS Office or similar systems. Willingness to learn digital marketing and events processes.

Cairngorm Mountain, managed by Cairngorm Mountain (Scotland) Ltd, is a popular snowsports destination in Scotland, located within the Cairngorms National Park, and has been offering snowsports for over 50 years. In winter, the Resort is a commercial ski operation. In summer, the Resort serves as a summer tourist destination. The surrounding area attracts over 1.8 million annual visitors predominantly in summer with the Resort itself attracting circa 200,000 annual visitors.
Cairngorm Mountain resort covers 1,418 hectares and can attract over 120,000 skiing and snowboarding visitors in the busy winter period. The Resort is an internationally renowned area of scientific interest. The Resort and surrounding areas contain unique natural habitats and wildlife protected by EU legislation. In the summer, the Resort transforms as the snow melts and becomes a hub of activity, from guided walks to the mountain summit, an adventure play park, to generic visitors and a family market looking for activities to undertake.
