Location: Cairngorm Mountain
The Marketing and Events Assistant will support with the delivery of marketing activities and events, helping to promote the Resort, engage visitors and enhance the overall guest experience. This is an entry-level role designed to provide hands-on experience across marketing and events within a busy visitor attraction environment. There will be a reasonable degree of flexible working required, including weekends and evenings, to meet the operational needs of the business, which operates 7 days per week, 364 days per year and is variable in nature due to seasons.
Pay Rate: £13.25 per hour. This is a permanent position working 4 days (30 hours) per week. Closing date for applications is Friday 8 May 2026.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Marketing and Events Assistant is accountable to the Head of Marketing & Sales and supports the day-to-day delivery of marketing campaigns and events. The role assists with content creation, event delivery and administrative tasks, helping to ensure marketing and events activity is delivered to a high standard while providing opportunities for learning and development.
The Marketing and Events Assistant is responsible for:
- Assisting with the planning, coordination and delivery of on-site events, promotions and seasonal activities.
- Supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns across digital, print and on-site channels.
- Assisting with creating basic content for social media, website updates and internal communications.
- Helping prepare marketing materials such as posters, signage and promotional assets.
- Supporting event setup, delivery and breakdown, working alongside colleagues and external suppliers.
- Acting as a friendly front-of-house presence at events, welcoming visitors and providing accurate information.
- Assisting with gathering visitor feedback and basic performance information following events or campaigns.
- Supporting with maintaining organised records of marketing materials, images and event documentation.
- Working collaboratively with other departments to support marketing and event activities including recruitment and community engagement.
- Following brand guidelines and marketing procedures as directed.
- Identifying personal development needs and participating in training opportunities.
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as may, from time to time, be required.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and company policies.
- Maintaining continued professional development and willingness to learn new skills.

Person Specification
This role would suit someone at the beginning of their career who has a strong interest in marketing and events, ideally within tourism, hospitality or visitor attractions. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and keen to learn, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to work as part of a team.
Experience
- An interest in marketing, events or communications (formal experience not essential).
- Experience in a customer-facing role is desirable.
- Basic IT skills, including use of MS Office or similar systems.
- Willingness to learn digital marketing and events processes.
- An interest in adventure sports and knowledge of the local area is desirable but not essential.
