Cairn Research is seeking a motivated and experienced Remote Field Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. This successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, fostering both end-user and distributor relationships, and driving sales across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences and a solid understanding of microscopy technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets within the assigned territory.
  • Customer Engagement: Identify, engage, and nurture relationships with prospective and existing customers in the life sciences research community.
  • Product Demonstrations: Provide detailed product demonstrations, highlighting features and benefits to customers and distributors.
  • Distributor Management: Collaborate with and support distributors to optimize sales performance, including training, joint customer visits, and pipeline development.
  • Travel: Travel throughout the UK as required to meet customers and distributors, with occasional international trips for distributor or partner management.
  • Office Presence: Attend monthly meetings and contribute to team discussions at the Cairn Research office.
  • Market Insights: Gather and communicate market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform product and sales strategies.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a product expert, advising customers on the best solutions for their needs, particularly in microscopy applications.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: A degree in life sciences, engineering, or physics is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Proven sales experience in the life sciences sector is essential, with a strong preference for candidates with microscopy experience.
