Job Description:

Cairn Research is seeking a motivated and experienced Remote Field Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. This successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, fostering both end-user and distributor relationships, and driving sales across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences and a solid understanding of microscopy technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets within the assigned territory.

Customer Engagement: Identify, engage, and nurture relationships with prospective and existing customers in the life sciences research community.

Product Demonstrations: Provide detailed product demonstrations, highlighting features and benefits to customers and distributors.

Distributor Management: Collaborate with and support distributors to optimize sales performance, including training, joint customer visits, and pipeline development.

Travel: Travel throughout the UK as required to meet customers and distributors, with occasional international trips for distributor or partner management.

Office Presence: Attend monthly meetings and contribute to team discussions at the Cairn Research office.

Market Insights: Gather and communicate market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform product and sales strategies.

Technical Expertise: Serve as a product expert, advising customers on the best solutions for their needs, particularly in microscopy applications.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Education: A degree in life sciences, engineering, or physics is strongly preferred.

Experience: Proven sales experience in the life sciences sector is essential, with a strong preference for candidates with microscopy experience.

Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of microscopy and optical imaging technologies is highly desirable.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to diverse audiences.
