The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Full time hours are 38.75 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 which includes weekend working, start times will be from 0530.
Our bakers are responsible for producing our exceptional range of biscuits, traybakes and cakes sold in our farmshops and kitchens. You will make sure we can delight our customers by achieving high standards of food quality and presentation, in line with company standards, and that adequate quantities are produced to fulfil the requirements of the business.
As a Baker based in our production kitchen at Rheged, you will be baking products from recipes in big batches to supply the other areas of our business. The range will include tray-bakes, biscuits, cookies, muffins and bread products, all using the best ingredients with no preservatives.
As our bakery grows, there will be opportunities to develop your career at Westmorland and we will always value your ideas for improvements and new recipes and bakes.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Work at pace, following the correct procedures and recipes to produce our bakery products at the required quality and at a high level of presentation.
- Assist stock controllers in receiving, checking and storing deliveries correctly, always ensuring effective stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment for colleagues.
- Work as part of the larger team where necessary, using flexibility and your initiative to change your own activities to meet different circumstances and business needs.
- Maintain company record sheets as appropriate and in accordance with HACCP and our Food Safety Management system.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for baking to join our hard working, friendly bakery team. Previous experience working in a bakery or food production environment would be an advantage but full training will be given.
