Job Description

Are you passionate about empowering communities and driving meaningful change? Cairn Housing Association is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Tenant Engagement Officer to lead innovative engagement initiatives across our national housing portfolio. 


With over 4,300 homes across Scotland, Cairn is a trusted provider of quality housing and services. We’re committed to putting tenants at the heart of everything we do—and we need someone who shares that vision. 


What You’ll Do 

  • Champion tenant participation in service design and improvement. 
  • Deliver inclusive engagement opportunities that reflect the diverse voices of our communities. 
  • Lead the implementation of Cairn’s Tenant Engagement Strategy, ensuring tenant feedback drives real change. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to foster a culture of continuous improvement and tenant advocacy. 


Who We’re Looking For 

You’re a confident communicator, a strategic thinker, and a passionate advocate for tenant empowerment. You bring experience in engagement, community development, or housing—and you’re ready to make a lasting impact. 


Requirements 

  • A Basic Disclosure Scotland Scheme check is required.
  • Willingness to travel across Scotland and work flexibly. 
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. 


Key Dates 

  • Closing date for applications: Friday 26th September at 12 Noon  
  • Interviews: Week commencing 13th October


Location: We have offices in Edinburgh, Bellshill, Inverness, Thurso & Irvine (with Hybrid Working)


Salary: The salary for this post is £43,054 per annum, rising to £45,320 on successful completion of 6-month probationary period.


Work pattern: Full-time (34.5 hours per week), Permanent
